Do you suggest any models or brands?
I'd really love a camera that also video taped%26lt;3 I
In a cute color would be nice too, but I dont really care.
Oh,%26amp; preferably not too expensive, I'd like a good enough camera that doesnt work like crap, but I dont need anything professional, hopefully under $500?
Thanks! %26lt;3Advice for buying a camera for a young teen?
The Canon Powershot.
Most definitely.
It has some of the highest ratings for quality and for price that you can find. There are many models of it (doesn't matter which one you get--it just depends on how big you want the screen to be, how many features you want, etc., but they generally cost about the same), and generally they cost around $200, and will get you the best picture quality for your money. They're also extremely durable--definitely the best for what you've described!Advice for buying a camera for a young teen?
All of the major brands are good. Choose a brand that appeals to you. Then you have to think about getting a spare battery, what size memory card, if you want an extended warranty, how much you can afford, what size zoom, if you want manual controls, the size of the camera, finding a reliable place to purchase it, and the list goes on and on and on.......
The first thing to realize is that almost any digital camera will take good pictures. If more people would read the manual more than once, they would be able to take better pictures. Usually, the person assumes it is the camera when it could be them not knowing exactly what to do. Just give yourself more photographic knowledge by doing more reading on the internet.
I really believe buying a camera is an individual choice.
The person needs to read alot of reviews on cameras so they can decide on the features that they really want and need.
Go to the store and hold them so you can see if they feel comfortable in your hands. If possible, take some pictures in the store to check the quality of the pictures.
I can only give a suggestion of what to look for in a new digital camera.
Good Luck

The Canon Digital Cameras, somewhere between $130 and $270 are absolutely fine for a teenager. Cameras have come so far nowadays you won't believe what you can get for that money. I would bet you will be going back to the store to buy yourself one after you see the one you've bought your kid!
Im fifteen and the other month my mum and dad bought me the samsung s1030, its 10megapixels and it comes in different colours. excellent camera, i would deffinetly reccomend to anybody :)
