Parents, teens, anyone... I need some advice?

Sorry this is so long.

OK. I'm 14 years old. I maintain pretty good grades and I'm responsible. For the past couple of years, I've really wanted to get my belly button pierced. I live with my mom %26amp; step-dad, and I've never really worked up the courage to ask them about it. The thought of sitting them both down together and talking about it just intimidates me. They are a little strict, and they're not too fond of piercings either. I do have all my research done, however, and I know a lot about the piercing. I even have the money to pay for it myself, if necessary. But for some reason I'm really nervous to ask them about it. I don't want to put them in a bad mood, or for them to think of me differently because of the piercing. What do you think I should do? How do I bring this up with them, if I were to ask? Also, I'm kind of afraid that if my mom agreed, my step-dad would talk her out of it, or vice versa.. so how could I prevent that? Any other feedback or information would be really helpful, too, but please stick to my question rather than lecturing me about being too young, etc. I'd just like some help on this. Thanks :-)Parents, teens, anyone... I need some advice?
im 16 and i think that bellybutton piercings are ugly, slutty and are really not in style. plus i think 14 is way young for one anyway.

what about a second piercing on your ear or cartilage, they are a lot cuter!Parents, teens, anyone... I need some advice?
14 is way to young but if you really want to just go to mom and dad and ask be prepared with all your info if they don't agree then ask why but not in an argument way just say can i ask why reassure them that you won't be showing it off in a distasteful manner belly shirts low jeans or whatever then say ok and leave it at that then maybe in a month or too bring it up again or ask when would be an appropriate age..you will need parental consent until your 18 anyway
Hey Im 13 years old and i got my belly button pierced when i just turned 12. GUESS WHAT?

Piercing a belly button is just piercing fat. Its like piercing your ears. And it doesn't even hurt. Start of the conversation with your parents by telling them you did a lot of research, and that you thought it would be cool to pierce your belly button. If they say no, they have a reason and ask why? There could be several reasons.

1. They think you can get an infection?

Well, if you go to a place where everything is clean, and the ppl use gloves, and you clean your belly button everytime, you can't get an infection. BUT MAKE SURE THE PPL THAT WORK THERE USE A NEEDLE TO PIERCE YOU BELLY BUTTON. NOT A GUN!!!! IF THEY USE A GUN YOU CAN GET HIV OR A SERIOUS INFECTION, OR EVEN DAMAGE TISSUES! REMEMBER ONLY A NEEDLE!

2. Your parents could say, they dont want other people to see you have a belly button ring.

You can always cover it with your shirt!

3.They think your too young!

Peircing a belly button is peircing fat! Just like your ears. Its not a big deal! Plus it would look cute, and you can get a small ring.

4. They think it hurts!

IT DOESNT HURT!!!!!!!!!!! Its just a pinch. Getting a shot hurts more!

Anyways say this wont affect your grades, and you wont ask for anything else. They also might ask why you want to get it?

DONT SAY BECAUSE EVERYONE HAS IT!

Tell them you think it looks cute, and you think it be cool to get one. Plus when you get bored of it you can always take it out! And the hole goes away! They might also what if it distracts you. You cant even feel it! Its like you dont even have a belly piercing. YOU CANT FEEL IT. Hope this info helps.

Just ask... because if they are good parents.. they will say no! I would too! You are way too young for that.. then you'll want to be showing it off all the time with belly shirts... 14 is a scary age when it comes to boys and the way a young girl presents herself.. Look at it this way... you can do it in 4 years!
Just ask..

The worst they can say is no....

And ask while u are all together..

That way u can tell them both why u want one..

I asked my mom when i was 12 (a lil bit after i got my nose done) ans she said wait till ur 13..

Im 14 now..and i love mine..

And its not really a big deal..I mena u CAN hide it..and most of the time it is hidden..

Like i said..Just ask..

Well, from my point-of-view, you are too young. How are you going to focus in school with a piercing on your bellybutton? Like what about sports? I can't tell you what to do. You can get the piercing and learn from your mistakes. Good Luck :)
