I am 19..
I'm not a bad person I've never done anything that was really bad in my life.. Except I'm really messed up in school.. I stayed back twice.. I was supposed to be a senior this year.. I was gonna be skipped from Sophomore.. But I failed because I just felt really bad and that I could have done much better.. in some classes I passed but I failed over all and had failed attendance.. This year I'm still a Sophomore.. All the while my father doesn't know any of this.. He kinda knows that I am a Sophomore but I deny it because I know he will be really mad at me.. I don't want him to like hate me for my mistakes.. Anyway.. I'm supposed to go to the Gateway to College Program.. But they haven't called me back or anything.. My father just told me he has an appointment to talk to my vice principal about me this Thursday.. He said that if I had anything to tell him.. Like if I felt like I wasn't gonna graduate I should tell him.. He thinks I'm supposed to graduate this year.. But this is what I've been thinking.. Getting my GED and starting at a community college in the Fall While working during the Summer.. Because from what I've heard, when its all said and done getting a GED doesn't matter when you are in college.. My father is somewhat strict when it comes to school because my family are mostly drug addicts.. And he didn't make it past the 5th grade..
This is my question.. How do I tell my dad the truth before Thursday..
And what should I do with my schooling..

You need to tell your dad instead of hiding it so he can help you.He finds out you are hiding this he WILL be outraged, hands down guaranteed!
If he would kick you out for failing then stay with another relative who will help you pass.A G.E.D. is not a bad thing.Not everyone can pass the test, the teachers do not want students quitting school to get a G.E.D. because then they would have no one to teach.The G.E.D. is set up and accepted by the State Board of Education.Also, a High School diploma is only worth 3 things if you have the education to go with it.
It will help you place better in College, it will get you into the military and if you are out of toilet paper, it is good for that,because without a College degree, you are going to either be working 60 hrs + a week just to make it or you are going to struggle at a few bucks above minimum wage the rest of your life.
