I'm a freshmen in high school right now and I have known the possibility of moving for quite some time now everything is so undecided BUT that we are defiantly moving. I am looking for advice on how to cope with moving in high school and just any other things that would help.... i have a 4.0 im taking all honors and i am planning on going into IB, and play many sports, i don't want to go to a school that will not help me fulfill all of my potential. What advice do you have for on being the new girl in school? I am freaking out here as the days are counting down anything will help immensely!
Thanks! What advice do you have on teens moving in high school?
I've changed schools and usually the schools will not hurt your potential. They'll carry on all your credits, but you might have to take some different classes than your peers. But as for fitting in, don't try to do too much. The first thing I did was got involved in activities like soccer and made friends that way. When you're a part of something outside the classroom, the people who are with you in that activity are more likely to want to hang out with you. As long as you are friendly and don't seem scared and act like you aren't nervous at all. What advice do you have on teens moving in high school?
ugh. vermont. wisconsin. illinois. iowa. and now minnesota (hell its better than Ogalala, Nebraska). my guess is 2 years and well be gone. sad thing is im a freshman with this many moves. ya, it sucks. but i think it ouwld be easier for girls. but for me, every where but iowa has been hard. it usually takes a few months (even a few years) to make real, solid freinds. and dont make the mistake i keep making: dont do what those at school do, BE YOURSELF. i know your tired of hearing it, but its the truth. youll find it to be more comfortable that way. a ton. it will be easier.
don't be to quiet, and be your self. I'm in 11th grade and doing great.
