Ok, so my ex boyfriend picks on me. ALOT. for the past year, hes called me everything from a wh*** to a s*** and he calls me frodo, and a kiwi ( a hairy fruit) and other things. This stuff really upsets me , and i wasnt even the one who dumped him. He dumped me and walked all over me. everyone thinks hes an a** and hes short and REALLY ugly. he relies on his possy to help him make me miserable. I know all that crap about fighting is the wrong thing, but this guy wont stop until you get even with him.. any great ideas ? any good comebacks ? ( short decription - hes about 5 '2, looks a bit like a turtle, really skinny and pale and has greasy hair ... and some of his clothes are to small for him )Teen revenge advice?

it all depends on how old you are. and if you will still be able to finish highschol before the baby is actually born. eventhough you have a baby in your teens it doesnt mean you life is completly over. i have many friends with babies and they are doing quite well for themselves. as long as you have a supportive boyfriend or fience or babies daddy or support from you family or his then its not all bad.

It's not a good thing. For most. Lack of money, time with peers, losing friends. I feel bad. My sister lost alot of friends when she got pregnant at 16. But if you look at her now she is a beautiful 25 year old and married to the dad of her first child and she has two other kids.

It's going to take a lot of patience to deal with your daughter,She doesn't hate you trust me and shes not running from you either! I had the same problems as a child My mom had issues and things wasn't going to good at home so I ran to the streets because it seemed like that everyone else outside my home was normal!! My mom had such a hard time with me i ended up having my daughter at age 16 because i thought that this guy loved me! Well I'm 36 now and when I look back over my life I was running because my mom had four other children two marriages and all the other problems that life could bring but she forgot about me , i was the middle child and oldest girl so I had to take on alot of responsibilities and that's what made me rebel against my mom so just try and talk to your daughter and spend time with her just you and her and hug her and love her Good luck I pray that this will work out!!!!

Insulin pump advice for a teen?

I'm 12 years old and a type one and I was wondering what I need to know about the pump and what advice I should get before getting one?Insulin pump advice for a teen?
The pump is awesome for insulin dependent diabetics. It gives you so much more freedom and versatility with controlling your diabetes. When it comes to choosing a pump, its up to your preference. The main pumps on the market are the Omni Pod, MiniMed Paradigm, OneTouch Ping, and Animas. The are all comparable and have pretty much the same features and functions. The major difference will be between the tubing and non tubing.





MiniMed and OneTouch Ping have tubing that connect the pump to the injection site on you, but they allow for a quick release so that you can disconnect the tubing and pump at anytime without removing the injection site. The Omni Pod is without tubing and sits directly on your skin which has the advantage of no tubing but disadvantage of no quick release.





If you are a water person the Omni Pod is wearable in the shower, while the OneTouch Ping is completely water proof for swimming.





The MiniMed and Ping are both operational from controls on the pump and remotes. The Omni Pod is only operational from the remote/glucometer so if you misplace it you cannot control your insulin dosing.

Other than what Sarah has told you what you need to know is carb counting and be prepared to test before and after every meal. Your bolus dose will be based on how many carbs you are eating. I use the minimed pump and as Sarah mentioned they have excellent customer service. Getting a pump was the best decision I ever made I'm sure you will be pleased with the ease and flexibility it gives you plus much better control. My A1C went from over 13 to 6.4 after getting the pump. Best of Luck.

hey do you guys have a myspace? if you do then you should add them as friends and leave them little comments. maybe throughout all this you would become more familiar with each other and actually strike up conversation in the halls. It works for me!
Forget about all those teen movies. It may sound hard but you really just have to talk to them. Hey whats up, Whats going on. Bring up school work or comment on clothing. Jusst dont second guess yourself, if you do you will come across as nervous or weak. Everyone wants to be around confident people. Even if your not just fake it. It worked for me.
say something like';Hey how are you?i like your shirt whered ya get it?';If they wanna be your friend theyll answer and ask you questions too.


i f they dont like then theyll just say a quick answer then leave or they will just ignore you.

Find something that they are interested in and talk to them about that. Like if they like basketball, talk to them about your favorite team, or the game you saw yesterday. Or just like always, How are you, is a great conversation starter. Also, whats up?, things like that. Or ask to borrow a pencil, pen or whatever. Just make conversation out of stupid things and just don't think, do.

Be a joiner. Join in after school activities, clubs, sports teams, cheerleader squad.


Take your time, be patient, in only a few weeks you'll be popular.
Compliment them, wait for a moment to pitch in a line, like if they are talkin about somethin like for instance say they say ';did you see that episode where such and such slapped such and such'; and you reply somethin like yeha that was funny. Start up stuff like that..

well i had the same exact problem as you at the beginning of the school year and now I'm Friends with like everyone what i did was like outside the classroom door or whatever i would be like hey whats your name they'd tell me and id be like oh I'm (your name) then just say something like are you new here and he/she will answer then most likely start up another conversation if not just give it time like lets say you don't talk again until the next day then you could be like sorry whats your name again i forgot then after he/she tells you once again start talking then like Right before lunch be like do you care if i sit with you and if she/he says yes then at lunch walk with them or meet their and sit with them don't be shy to talk to their Friends too get involved now if he/she says no then you could just be like oh OK well I'll see you later then just start talking to any other personal random and follow the same step's and don't worry eventually you'll find someone to hang out with and it might not be the 1st day but eventually and once you start talking to one person talk to their Friends to that's why i said don't be shy to get involve at first i was but i learned to get over it.
